If I'm a really really good kitty, will my Momma come home soon? Will my Grandma be okay?

My Momma is headed to Hawaii in the next day or so. Her Momma is sick.
Maybe this time she'll bring me a gecko.

I want to wish all of my furriends and very happy Father's Day!
I also want to send healing thoughts and wishes to one of my favorite cat families -- Jasper, Maggie, Josie and Huggy Bear.....their grandpa is sick and needs our purrayers.

It was really really REALLY hard work shredding that entire roll of toilet paper and spreading it artistically across the bathroom floor....getting it just so.

I'm ignoring you.
Well, I was ignoring you first.

I am SO guarding these ice cubes

It's a warm summery day here and look! Momma put ice cubes in our water! I am keeping an eye on these lest they get away like the last batch.

Wow, I just saw two unusual sights! One was a raccoon eating the visiting cat's food on the back deck in broad daylight. The other was my Momma moving like the speed of light as she ran out the backdoor after a raccoon. My Momma was brandishing an aluminum baseball bat too! The raccoon lazily climbed up the back fence and looked at my Momma with a smirk. As Momma charged it, the raccoon thought that perhaps he should retreat a bit over the fence. WHACK!! Momma smacked the bat against the fence and the raccoon got his paw smooshed. That'll teach him not to listen to Momma.
In other news, I think Momma has a hairball because she keeps coughing. I hope the hairball comes up soon.

My Momma is flying to Oahu to see her Mom. Besides packing her suitcase, another part of her preparation is to perform a bizarre ritual. She is sitting over there shaving her legs. Why?! It wasn't long enough as it was! Why would someone willingly and knowingly remove all of their fur?!
*thud*
I hope she brings me a gecko. Those look like fun and I could use a pet.
Have you ever gotten in a rut where you just don't write? Yeah, me too.
We were deeply touched to receive this in the mail today.
They've done so much already. We can't say enough good things about them.
I am sitting here cozy with my Momma and I am so thankful for all that I have.
It's windy and cold outside. It snowed all day yesterday and then there was freezing rain. We woke to a marshmallow cream world. It's a little deceiving though because there is a layer of ice on top of the snow.
It's snowing and sleeting again now. Here on my Momma's lap it's all cozy but I look outside and worry about Puffalump and the other outside visiting kitties. We've only seen Puffalump though and I know she's trying to stay warm under the big blue spruce shown here.
My Momma takes food outside for kitties but she wishes she could bring them ALL inside but they're so skittish and it's not really feasible...but that's what she wishes. If they all came inside I bet they'd want to get in Momma's lap too.
Here's Puffalump eating last night. You may have to clicky the picture to see her under the table. It sure is snowy even under the covered patio because of it all blowing.

My Momma readed about a 12 year old girl named Mimi Ausland who lives in Bend, Oregon which isn't too terribly far from me. Mimi loves animals and when she was 9 she started volunteering at the local shelter because she cares about animals so much.
Mimi, with the help of her folks, created a web site that helps shelters face food shortages. See, a Portland company donates 10 pieces of dry food to a shelter for every answered question that Mimi thinks up. Every day Mimi puts on her thinking cap and comes up with a question and every day I go over to her site and guess the answer. Since April Mimi has provided a half million meals to homeless animals, becoming the sole supplier to 11 shelters nationwide. That is just amazing for someone to do let alone a young bean!
So come on, please come play too!
