Breakfast Guest

This morning before leaving for work, my Momma peeked outside to see if Polite Boy and Too-G were around waiting for their breakfast.  They were!  But sitting right there with them, trying to be just as cute, was this fella.  This is not the sick one mentioned the other day.  This guy comes around occasionally and tries to charm Momma, not realizing she has a heart of ice when it comes to raccoons.

So, this guy sat in a line with the cats, in a cat-like pose, perhaps hoping to fool Momma into thinking he was an odd looking cat.  He would also lie down on his stomach and rest his chin atop his front paws, very dog-like.  He was workin' it.  But no go.  My Momma left for work and while she was out front at the garage she called to the cats, hoping they would come around front and she could feed them there.

It worked!  Too-G came trotting.  Polite Boy came trotting.  Raccoon came trotting.

My Momma didn't give anybody breakfast.

Aggressive Lewis

My Momma wanted me to make a note in my bloggy so that we can keep track of this.  My Momma is worried about Lewis.  As y'all know, he's out there roaming the neighborhood on his own.  We think he has a home but we're not sure.  Anyway, sweet Lewis is always so loving and friendly.  The other day when Momma went outside to love him up he was mostly loving but ended up biting Momma.  He didn't break the skin.  Momma knows that sometimes us kitties get over-excited and do weird things like bite and scratch.

Tonight Lewis was on the patio and my Poppa went out there to say hi.  Lewis was really skittish and ended up taking a good chunk out of my Poppa's hand.  Momma went out after a little while to see Lewis but he flattened down his ears and started to hiss at her.

We've never seen Lewis so aggressive and mean.  We don't know if something is just upsetting him or if the sickly raccoon has spread rabies or something.

We're keeping an eye out.

Chill-laxin'

I am just chill-laxin' today and hanging out.   I hear that the folks are going to change the bed later and I'm a huge help with putting clean sheets on the bed.

Chill-laxin'

Hey, wait...

Hey...wait...

ZOMG, dumb raccoon!  Wait'll my Momma see's that you're out there!

ZOMG, dumb raccoon!

My Momma is going to call the city about this particular raccoon.  He is the only one around that comes out during the day and he just doesn't look well.  We readed that it could mean the raccoon is sick.  He certainly looks scraggly and sick compared to the others that come around at night.  The raccoon seems to be living in the underbrush of the tree in the neighbor's yard.  The grass is knee-high and there is a large tub of rancid water just waiting to breed skeeters.

Like The Wind

Heh.  You know how my Momma puts food and water outside for the visiting kitties?  Well lately there has been a scraggly rogue raccoon helping himself to the food and water.

My Momma brings in the food at night but the water stays out there all the time and the darned raccoon just loves to muck it up by washing his feet and stuff in it.  Just today my Poppa cleaned out the waterer really well because it had been really gross!

Tonight my Momma looked outside and the raccoon was back!  Mucking up the water!  My Momma raced outside and the the raccoon went through the broken slat in the fence and stared back defiantly at Momma as if to ask, "Yeah?  What're you going to do since you can't get me now?"

Momma raised up the SuperSoaker and blasted the raccoon squarely in the snout with a strong stream of water.  The raccoon was so shocked he froze and my Momma was able to blast him again.  The raccoon turned and ran with the wind on his heels and water raining down on him.

That'll teach him to mess with my Momma.

Six Words Memoir Meme

My sweet Tiny Dancer and adorable Jasper both tagged me for the Six Word Memoir meme.  I'm sorry for the delay in posting this but I had to wait for my Momma to get back from Salt Lake City so that she could help me....plus I was all sad with her gone.

Here are the rules:
1) Write your own six word memoir.
2) Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like.
3) Link to the person that tagged you in your post, and to the original post if possible so we can track it as it travels across the blogosphere.
4) Tag at least five more blogs with links.
5) Don’t forget to leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play.
6) Have fun!!

Here is, My Six Word Memoir.

Who, me?

Shy and I had great fun playing today.  We were chasing each other all over the house; ripping up and down the hall and skidding across the wood floor in the entry.  Every now and again I couldn't help myself and I'd let out that throaty roar that means, "Look out, I'm a tough one!"  Shy ran through the family room and as soon as Momma opened her eyes from her nap, all she saw was innocent Shy calmly sitting on the perch.  Lucky for me, I wasn't even in the room!  Go back to sleep Momma, we weren't doing anything.

Where is Shy?

Can't we all just get along?  Beans could learn a lesson, if they'd just listen.
