Stoopid Recalls

My Momma threw away the dried cat food on hand for the outdoor kitties.  They had been eating Whiska's Meaty Selections.  It's not part of the recall...yet....but did contain wheat gluten and if she can just avoid the stuff until all of this mess gets cleared up then she will.  Me and ShyGirl also munch on that food as a treat.

At the grocery store Momma was unable to find a dry cat food that didn't contain wheat so she went to Petco and bought some Natural Balance food for the outside guys.  Kind of expensive but better safe than sorry and now she doesn't have to feel like me and my sister are eating not so healthy stuff as a snack or that the outside fellas are not getting a good quality meal.

Our usual food is Nature's Recipe and Momma almost bought some of that too for the outside kitties but since me and Shy like our little treats she wanted to keep it something different.  Aren't Momma's the best?

Grumble...grumble...

My Momma got that fancy stove, right? So what does she grab for dinner tonight? Taco Bell!! I tell you, there are NO tasty morsels to share with me from the Bell. *narrows eyes*

My sister said my head might get stuck in here.  Or that I might get sucked into some kind of vortex.  K'uh.  What does she know?

Oy.  I ate too much turkey yesterday.  And today.  And probably tomorrow.  I hope all of my poodie friends had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Tiny Birdies

I sat and watched the birdfeeder today for a long time. There is a new type of little birdie coming around. I'm not for sure what it is. It is a small small bird with a white face and black top of head. My Momma thinks it might be a finch. I think it's an Oreo.

The Larder Was Full

My Mommy filled the birdfeeders and squirrel feeder today. They've been empty for awhile. Neglected. But today they are full! Or were. The squirrel feeder is almost empty. See the roof to it was broken by a marauding raccoon so it's topless. Mommy & Daddy got tired of fixing it. That darned 'coon used to smash the whole thing to bits but this time just ripped the top off. It's been almost six months since he did that. Anyway, back to the full feeders. The blue birdies outside love the revised squirrel feeder as they fight over the peanuts. The squirrels loved it -- dashing to and fro burying nuts. Oddly even the finches tried to get in on it but the peanuts were way too big for them. At one point Momma was laughing and saying, "We need air traffic control!" because the jays would take turns swooping in and in between their swooping the various squirrels were grabbing their share. I gotted to see ALL kinds of birdies that I've either not seen in a long time, or have never seen and I don't know what they were. I needed Timmy-Wimmy here to tell me who was who! I even got to see two hummingbirds! My Mommy doesn't have the right feeder for them tho'. She almost bought one today but didn't. And now two hummingbirds showed up. Go Momma, go buy one! Those are cool and tasty looking ones!

It was a busy day nature-wise here today!

Hey, That Looks Tasty

It was a quiet day around our house.  My Daddy is still laid up in bed so I kept him company a lot.  I'm a good little helper.  My Mommy came in for a little while for a nap too and that was awesome -- I liked all of us piled in there hiding from the hot day out.  My kind of thing!

My Mom grilled some steaks tonight.  Here I am trying to check it out.  Mom wouldn't share and neither would Dad so I had to amuse myself chasing the vitamin.

Finely Minced

My Mommy knows just how to fix my maguro.  Between the salads around here and the maguro, I have quite the well-rounded diet.  It's my opinion that my sisters are weird -- neither of them like maguro or salads!  K'uh!  No wonder they lack the cute figure I have.

My Mommy still hasn't seen what is under the sink.  Daddy is sure it isn't much.  I'm not so sure.

Treats!!

Today Daddy did the major cleaning of our litterbox. I thought I was gonna bust a bowel waiting for him to hurry up a'cuz I had to go!

But the neat thing was that there were two free samples tucked away in the new tub of Tidy Cat Scoopable Litter. One was a cute little container full of Fancy Feast Gourmet Gold crunchy goodness. Oh oh OH but I am crazy about this! Mommy isn't giving it to us as a meal but tosses a few out as treats. YUM. I tell you. YUMMMMMMM.

There was also a little container of Aquari-Yums and I'm tellin' you, those are really really tasty too! And I love their website. I could watch that all day.

Now. If I had thumbs I'd be able to pry the lids off the containers.

She Fooled Me

My Mommy was fixing dinner and I was 'helping'. ("Ginger, you're such a help.") She got something out of the fridge and it was wrapped in the cellophane-crinkly-bag that always means yummy goodness is enclosed. Mommy took it over to the cutting board (which means goodness for sure!) and started whacking it up. HOOYA yummies! I was ecstatic. I took a biiiig sniff and it was ONION!

Ohhhhhhhh my nose my nose.

Winged Morsels

Here I sit, way up high in the kitchen window and staring out into the backyard. I love it up here. Hanging right there, within a whiskers reach is a bird-feeder. One of these days I'm going to figure out how to get through this window. Those birdies look mighty tasty.

Speaking of tasty. My sisters and I only get crunchy food. We don't get canned food except for a tiny bit on a very very rare occasion. A special treat. Well. Mommy went to Petco to buy our usual food and got free canned yumminess! She tried a new flavor and we went crazy over it. Normally (can it be normal if it's rare?) we get the chicken or beef or turkey and those are pretty tasty. We don't like the fishy ones. Anyway. Mommy brought home Rabbit & Rice in the Nature's Recipe canned yumminess. YOW YOW YOW. My mommy is the bestest cook a'cuz me and the sisters snarfed it up! ShyGurl & I almost fell over because Mommy will always put down enough for us three cats but Quest never ever eats any of it. Not this time tho' -- Quest ate most of it.

I hear that some cats get to eat stuff like this every day. I wonder if that's true? I wonder what a rabbit is.

Settled In But No Stick Treats

Well I'm pretty much all settled in over here. Just little touches to make it feel more homey are needed.

In other news, can you believe that I still have not managed to try any of those yummy treats that I mentioned the other day? Every single time that my Mom tries to give us girls some, Shy takes them all! Quest doesn't care for her treats at all and I still don't know if I do or not since I haven't been able to get one.

Harrumph. Well I did get some of that wonderful Jennie O turkey that Mom uses for sandwiches. My sisters didn't get any of that oh no. Just me. :::satisfied smile:::

Oh, I almost forgot to say. There is apparently a feature over here in my new blog where an email can be sent to you when I update. If you'd like to be added to the list, drop me a line and I'll add you to the list. There is an automated plugin that would let you add yourself but my Mommy hasn't set that up yet.

Chicken Sticks

Thanks to Timmy who found out from William, my Mommy bought me those stick treats!!

All three of us girls lined up for them after Mommy tossed the first on the floor.  In the end though, ShyGurl ended up with all three of them.  She snarfed her own down quickly, swiped the one in front of Quest and then chased me off and got mine too.  I wonder if they were good.  Shy sure thought so.  I wonder if she'll spew them up.  She does that.

I hope I get one later because they sure smelled yummy.

My Short-Tailed Squirrel

My short-tailed squirrel was outside the window today.  Outside in the freezing rain.  I wanted that squirrel.  He/she is pretty cute and pretty tasty looking.  Squirrel was staring in the window at my mommy just begging for peanuts and pumpkin seeds.  My mommy actually went out into the popsicle weather and fed the squirrel.  I wanted the squirrel.  We could be great buddies.  I'm betting it would like playing with me.

I had my picture taken a lot today.  Camera stuck in my face.  Covert pictures taken from across the room.  *snort*  You can't fool me.  I know when you're taking my pic.  I s'pose at some point the pictures will show up here.  Don't hold your breath tho'.  On the same roll of film are pictures from a vacation in August.

Tomorrow is nap day with mommy.  It's also major bacon cooking day.  I wonder if that Bacon Doggy my mommy likes will show up.

Tummy Growling

*sniffs air* Mmmm, mommy just cooked up some breakfast sausages. It’s making my tummy growl almost as loud as Mommy’s tummy is growling. Daddy needs to get up first tho’. Maybe I’ll go pounce on his head.

Mommy got up early early this morning – around 5:30 am.  I did not get up with her, no way.  But!  I am betting she takes a nap later so that she can stay up tonight.

First she has to go grocery shopping tho’.  She bought the important stuff yesterday when she went to Petco for my food. 

Time to go climb all over daddy to wake him up before Mommy passes out from hunger.
