The Hair On My Neck Stood Up

My Momma was so surprised!

I was napping on the tv this evening and my Momma was watching tv and had her back to the window. Something made me open my eyes and GRRR! I hopped down from the tv and went to the window which got my Momma's attention. Out on our back patio was a huge raccoon. He was looking for Olivia-Puffalump's food which my Momma has taken to bringing in after dark and putting out first thing in the morning ever since she spied THREE big raccoons eating it all up one morning at 3:30 am. (They were just boldly sitting there with buddha bellies shoveling in the food and chewing with their mouthes open. My Momma fully expected them to belch as they watched her pump up her SuperSoaker.)

Anyway back to tonight. There was this big ol' raccoon on our patio. My Momma stood at the window looking at it and it walked right up to the window and put it's front paws up on the sill peering in at Momma! I would NOT stand for that & threw myself against the window yowling. I scared the raccoon and it backed up a few feet watching my Momma the whole time. My Mom was so surprised that the raccoon just walked right up to Momma without any fear! It approached again and put it's paws up on the window and had it's eyes locked with my Momma's the whole time. My Momma does not like raccoon's and made her eyes into little unfriendly slits. The raccoon backed down, turned and walked away and slipped through the hole in the fence.

Very strange that raccoon had zero fear of humans. It feared me though. Good thing I was there to protect my Momma..

The Hogga-Raccoon Ate It All Up

Y'all are smart and helpful....what can my Momma do so that the raccoon doesn't keep getting into Lewis' autofeeder? Momma camed home from work today and once again the feeder was almost completely empty. The water was mucked up too the way raccoons do -- you know how they like to rinse their food. Momma doesn't want to stop feeding poor Lewis and a few other roaming cats but she doesn't want to feed the raccon. Suggestions?

Where's Youuuuuutaw?

Would someone tell my Momma to stay still?  She had that bag out on the bed again and she was filling it with clothes.  I hopped up, peered into the suitcase and asked her where she was going?  She said that it's someplace called Salt Lake City Youuuuuutaw.  I hope she brings me something.  Judging from the number of things she was taking it's gonna be awhile.  It had better be something good.

Momma's Big Fat Wedding Watch

My Momma is going away on an airplane tomorrow.  Something about somebody special getting married.  Momma won't be home until next Tuesday.  How long does it take to watch a wedding, anyway???!

No Boys Allowed!

I was enjoying a Sunday afternoon nap with my Mommy in celebration of My KodaBear's birthday.  Mommy & I were snoozing along wonderfully when that other boy showed up.  He keeps coming around.  He's not welcome in these parts.  I tried to stealth leave Mommy's lap without waking her but the noise of me and Quest fighting this intruder through the window disrupted naptime for Mommy.  The growls!  The yowls!  The batting at the glass!  It wasn't pretty.  And we mean us doing that, not Mommy.  Although her going outside to chase the kitty away was pretty fun.

I Didn't Know It Was On

See Miss 'dela?  I do get on the cam!  Mommy was too slow though to catch the one where I was sniffing the camera.  I wish I had left a booger print on the lens.

:::sigh::: I don't like those exploding things -- fireworks. There are peoples that I don't know outside right now blowing them up and I'm scared. Why can't they wait until the 4th?

Do I Look Like A Salad Girl??

What a day. Every day I happily greet my Mom when she gets home from work. I sit at the door waiting and then rub all over her legs when she comes in the door. Next I wait for my Dad who will follow Mom in after a couple of minutes. There I am today waiting for my Daddy. In he comes, I run up to greet him and I realize that he is accompanied by a complete stranger! We hate strangers!! My sisters and I took off running. Why couldn't Mom have warned us? Or Dad?? How mean was that!! He just brought in someone we don't know and let that person hang out in our kitchen. K'uh!

Then at dinner it was salad night. I hate salad night. It means less good treats for me. As I sat there at my place at the dinner table my Dad placed a piece of lettuce in front of me and told me to have at it. PFFFFT! A piece of lettuce!

Trying To Get A Nap

Here I'm trying to nap when that laptop shows up and hogs the lap too!  You can't tell that it's practically on my butt.  It's a good thing Mommy has a generous lap.

Blogger Woes

Waaah!  This is the error I get tonight when trying to comment on all of you over on Blogger.  I tried on 4 or 5 different blogs.  I have things to say and can't!
