This morning before leaving for work, my Momma peeked outside to see if Polite Boy and Too-G were around waiting for their breakfast. They were! But sitting right there with them, trying to be just as cute, was this fella. This is not the sick one mentioned the other day. This guy comes around occasionally and tries to charm Momma, not realizing she has a heart of ice when it comes to raccoons.
So, this guy sat in a line with the cats, in a cat-like pose, perhaps hoping to fool Momma into thinking he was an odd looking cat. He would also lie down on his stomach and rest his chin atop his front paws, very dog-like. He was workin' it. But no go. My Momma left for work and while she was out front at the garage she called to the cats, hoping they would come around front and she could feed them there.
It worked! Too-G came trotting. Polite Boy came trotting. Raccoon came trotting.
My Momma didn't give anybody breakfast.
My Momma wanted me to make a note in my bloggy so that we can keep track of this. My Momma is worried about Lewis. As y'all know, he's out there roaming the neighborhood on his own. We think he has a home but we're not sure. Anyway, sweet Lewis is always so loving and friendly. The other day when Momma went outside to love him up he was mostly loving but ended up biting Momma. He didn't break the skin. Momma knows that sometimes us kitties get over-excited and do weird things like bite and scratch.
Tonight Lewis was on the patio and my Poppa went out there to say hi. Lewis was really skittish and ended up taking a good chunk out of my Poppa's hand. Momma went out after a little while to see Lewis but he flattened down his ears and started to hiss at her.
We've never seen Lewis so aggressive and mean. We don't know if something is just upsetting him or if the sickly raccoon has spread rabies or something.
We're keeping an eye out.
I am just chill-laxin' today and hanging out. I hear that the folks are going to change the bed later and I'm a huge help with putting clean sheets on the bed.
Hey, wait...
ZOMG, dumb raccoon! Wait'll my Momma see's that you're out there!
My Momma is going to call the city about this particular raccoon. He is the only one around that comes out during the day and he just doesn't look well. We readed that it could mean the raccoon is sick. He certainly looks scraggly and sick compared to the others that come around at night. The raccoon seems to be living in the underbrush of the tree in the neighbor's yard. The grass is knee-high and there is a large tub of rancid water just waiting to breed skeeters.
Heh. You know how my Momma puts food and water outside for the visiting kitties? Well lately there has been a scraggly rogue raccoon helping himself to the food and water.
My Momma brings in the food at night but the water stays out there all the time and the darned raccoon just loves to muck it up by washing his feet and stuff in it. Just today my Poppa cleaned out the waterer really well because it had been really gross!
Tonight my Momma looked outside and the raccoon was back! Mucking up the water! My Momma raced outside and the the raccoon went through the broken slat in the fence and stared back defiantly at Momma as if to ask, "Yeah? What're you going to do since you can't get me now?"
Momma raised up the SuperSoaker and blasted the raccoon squarely in the snout with a strong stream of water. The raccoon was so shocked he froze and my Momma was able to blast him again. The raccoon turned and ran with the wind on his heels and water raining down on him.
That'll teach him to mess with my Momma.
My sweet Tiny Dancer and adorable Jasper both tagged me for the Six Word Memoir meme. I'm sorry for the delay in posting this but I had to wait for my Momma to get back from Salt Lake City so that she could help me....plus I was all sad with her gone.
Here are the rules:
1) Write your own six word memoir.
2) Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like.

6) Have fun!!
Here is, My Six Word Memoir.
Loving my Beans up, tabby girl.
I don't think there is anybody that hasn't already been previously tagged but if so, please feel free to play!
Shy and I had great fun playing today. We were chasing each other all over the house; ripping up and down the hall and skidding across the wood floor in the entry. Every now and again I couldn't help myself and I'd let out that throaty roar that means, "Look out, I'm a tough one!" Shy ran through the family room and as soon as Momma opened her eyes from her nap, all she saw was innocent Shy calmly sitting on the perch. Lucky for me, I wasn't even in the room! Go back to sleep Momma, we weren't doing anything.
Can't we all just get along? Beans could learn a lesson, if they'd just listen.
My Momma and I found this very very entertaining!
I'm watching out for my Momma. We were playing Tag and she was it. I'll just wait here where I can see up the hall and down the hall.
Now....where did she go...
My sister Shy, is a barf-factory. She has the most nervous tummy and leaves her dinner everywhere. She'll leave hairballs too but mostly it's her dinner.
What gets my Momma is where Shy will choose to barf. Shy can be standing in the middle of the kitchen floor where the linoleum will be easy to clean should one choose this location to be sick. As soon as Shy feels the urge, she'll high-tail it over to the carpet. Her favorite place to pyuck is under the piano where it's especially hard to reach. My Momma will sigh and say, "Why WHY can't you stay on the smooth surface that would be easy to clean, hmmm?"
Momma should be happy this morning. Shy has selected a smooth surface -- the middle cushion of the leather sofa.
Shilgiah asked if Shy and Quest were my real sisters. We actually didn't come from the same litter and they're something like eleventy billion years older than me. The whole story is found over here.
There is a definite pecking order in our house. Shy is the most aggressive and we run around the house together. Momma says she's chasing me but I like to think of her as my jogging partner. Next it's me in charge and I chase Quest all the time. Shy will also randomly whap Quest upside the head out of the blue. Both Shy and I listen up though on the rare occasion that Quest has had it and chases both of us.
Ut oh, it's April Fool's Day....
*crawls back under the bed to hide*
My Momma wanted me to tell y'all that she loves what clever things y'all think up as replies to my entries. She loves reading them throughout the day -- they make her smile when they arrive on her mobile phone.
Maybe y'all can come over tomorrow morning around 1:30AM?
I was lonely this morning.
And I couldn't sleep.
I didn't want to be alone.
I finally managed to get my Momma up.
Now she's not talking to me.
You know, I have quite a few really clever friends here. When I saw this I thought there are several of you that would be really good at it.

Good news! All your your purr-ayers and good thoughts helped so much! My daddy went to the doctor today to see why his tummy was so red and purple and oozy-ew and he was has having a reaction to the staples so they took them out. All should really start looking good now!
I'm going to make sure to really keep an eye on him for the next few days. I bet he needs lots of naps.
Thank you all for your good thoughts and wishes!
I have been paying attention to what you all advised and made sure NOT to walk on my daddy's abdomen. He was healing up real good and I've been by his side almost the whole time sending healing purrs into his ear. Unfortunately, his owie has taken a turn for the worse and isn't looking good at all. I am going to have to double my efforts and never leave his side and purr extra hard.
Maybe if I settle on his chest for a long nap I can heal him faster. Maybe if I direct my purrs not to his ear but to his tummy that would work better. Maybe if I was a real good girl and didn't chase my sister he'd get batter. Maybe I can bring him a nice treat.
Today my Momma is eleventy-billion and two! Happy birthday, Momma. Me and Daddy hope you like the new garage door being hung for you today.
I'd have hung the moon for you.
Thank you all for your good thoughts and purrrayers. My Daddy is home and doing well. He smells different -- a bit like that stabby place that I had to go to get spayed. Hmm, I don't think he got spayed but he does gotted a 5" scar. Anyway, I have appointed myself as his guardian and have stationed myself on the bed near him. It's kind of fun having him as my captive audience. Now, if I can just remember to stop walking on his abdomen all would be good.
My daddy goes in for surgery today. Please think good thoughts so that he's home and providing a warm lap again with no problems.
Thank you!

In my book, the third would be an invigorating nap.
The fourth would be ________________.
What a wonderful day! One of my most favoritest fuzzy friends (that would be YOU, Jasper) gave me a wonderful award!!

Thank you so much! I want to pass it on to another one of my first kitty blog friends -- Max, the Psychokitty and his little brother Buddah Pest. Well Max has been around much longer but I didn't want Buddah to feel bad and he's a cute little fellow!
My Momma went and bought me my favoritest treat of all in celebration -- maguro, finely minced and in my special dish. Don't I look the picture of contentment?

Please go rate little Ginger over on Animal Planet!
Today is a holiday; President's Day. My Momma and Poppa were home with me today which I liked very very much. Try as I might though I was unable to put the sleeper hold on my Momma. No lap time for me.
Here I am making do without a lap...no, it won't do any good Momma to butter me up with "Aren't you a pretty girl"...you had your chance to snuggle me and now it's too late. I can't be bought.
Happy Valentine's Day to all of my wonderful friends here -- May each of you have a happy heart today!
*bats her lashes at her special boy*
As you can see, there is no room on the new TV for me to nap. *siiigh* I think mayyybe I could squeeze on top that silver box on the second shelf. That might work. The fun part is that the glass shelves are so shiny and mirror-like that my paw prints look awesome on them! Momma isn't too wild about it but I sure am enjoying making art. I don't think she's noticed my nose prints on the screen yet.
To make up for things though, my Momma put flannel sheets on the bed. I never knew! OMG but I'm in bliss! Of course, I especially love to lay on the flannel-covered pillow. Matter of fact, while Momma and Poppa are eating breakfast I think I'll slip back there now...
Tomorrow my Momma and Daddy will be home. Normally I would be happy about this sort of news because it's pretty easy to coerce Momma into a nap. But, you know what? Some Verizon stranger will be coming over to hook us up to Verizon FIOS TV....HD TV at that. As if it weren't upsetting enough that not only will Momma be home and not napping with me but they're getting rid of this big TV that I love so much. This is my surrogate Momma! I nap here to stay warm during the days when my folks are gone! How can they?!!
Sigh.
First the big ol' computer monitors went away long ago and now the comfy napping TV is going away too. All being replaced by skinny technology. Harrumph.
I wonder if I can replace my fat sister Shy with a skinny one.
Sorry Tiny Dancer, I was sleeping and sleeping and having the most wonderful dream about your tiny ears!
I got tagged by my Sweet William and I'm supposed to link back to www.petspics.blogspot.com/
What three things would you do that you have never done before, if you knew you wouldn't get caught, get in trouble, or suffer any consequences?
Hmm.....
I don't know who to tag so if you haven't done this yet then go do it!
*stretches*
Oh! It's a New Year!
*curls up for a nap*
I'm bein' good.
I'm bein' reeeeal good.
Hurrrry up 25th because this is tough and I don't know how much longer I can hold out!
It's Friday night and that means that the weekend begins! I like weekends because it gives me lots of Momma-time!
The weather is supposed to be pretty bad. According to the news earlier the weather report came on and Chicken Little was telling us that on Saturday it is supposed to snowwwwww. Sunday is supposed to bring us the Big Bad Wolf huffing and puffing winds gusting to 65 mph. I hope nothing blows away if that happens. I hope I don't have to go hide under the bed or in the back of the closet. It's not that I'm scared mind you, I just go back there for some alone time. Meditation.
I don't understand why my Momma is sitting over there with her feet up and watching tv. How can she be so calm? Shouldn't she be out shopping and stocking up on batteries, milk and bread?
